My opinion if u are trying ubuntu for the first time, apart from synaptic, this is the other place where u will find applications for ur newly installed version of Ubuntu or any of its flavors. Love it.

This is one thing will surely make all BSNL Broadband users give a try. I don’t use bsnl broadband, so didn’t give it any try. The add-on is still in experimental stage, so users need to log into using a free Firefox account to download it.
Here is the link to the add-on site https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4674

What is Pidgin?
Pidgin is a multi-protocol Instant Messaging client that allows you to use all of your IM accounts at once.
Pidgin can work with:
* AIM
* Bonjour
* Gadu-Gadu
* Google Talk
* Groupwise
* ICQ
* IRC
* MSN
* MySpaceIM
* QQ
* SILC
* SIMPLE
* Sametime
* XMPP
* Yahoo!
* Zephyr
Pidgin is free software. It is licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2. This means you are free to use it and to modify it, but if you distribute your modifications you must distribute the modified source code as well.
That was as quoted on the http://www.pidgin.im/
And i must agree, its really handy. Instead of using a bundle of memory hogging Messenger Clients Pidgin is a viable option. After all its in human nature to make things easier and more manageable…

I’ve just installed Deepest Sender 0.7.6 for Mozilla / FIREFOX Browser. Its good until now. and Let me find out if it’s as good in posting.
It has source formating feature and so if you are comfortable with HTML I guess you can make good use of it. Anyway i’m not so versed with HTML, and trying to figure out how to change font with HTML tag. I guess wordpress doesn’t support this feature.
Other features that are supported are text alignment and formating (bold, italic…), numbered and bulleted list picture insertion, indention and text color. Not bad at all!
Few blog sites that are readily supported are Blogger, WordPress, LiveJournal, rather I should say it supports ATOM and metaWeblog.
For newbies, it has a good help file, thats reasonably detailed.
I’m now going to see if its working or not by publishing this article
to download it goto https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1811/
